Sue Spence is the heart and visionary behind *Horses Helping Humans Australia™*, an internationally respected Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) program that has transformed lives across Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. With more than twenty years of experience in horsemanship and human development, Sue has devoted her life to creating spaces where insight, healing, and personal growth unfold naturally — guided by the intuitive wisdom of horses.
Sue believes that horses offer honest, non-judgmental reflection, helping people reconnect with themselves, regulate emotions, and rediscover authentic communication and leadership. From this belief, she created the Horses Helping Humans framework — a ground-based, trauma-informed approach built on respect, safety, and deep care for both humans and horses.
*Indiana Horses Helping Humans* is deeply honoured to be mentored by Sue Spence and to operate as part of the *Horses Helping Humans Australia™ family, our parent organisation. We are proud to be the **first organisation in the United States to receive certification through Horses Helping Humans Australia*, delivering programs fully aligned with Sue’s original, licensed framework.

In partnership with Sue, *Indiana Horses Helping Humans serves as the American learning hub* for facilitators wishing to train through the *Horses Helping Humans Australia™ Equine Assisted Learning Program*. Through this role, we support the growth of the program across the United States while preserving the integrity, values, and heart of Sue’s work.
Sue continues to mentor facilitators internationally, ensuring that each certified program carries forward the same intention, depth, and transformational potential that inspired Horses Helping Humans from the very beginning. Her ongoing guidance allows this work to expand globally — rooted in connection, compassion, and the quiet power of horses.
